Personal data protection — GDPR
The European Union adopted the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016. Under the Regulation, "personal data" means any information relating to you through which you can be identified.
This Privacy Policy applies to all information that the "Window to Bulgaria" Migration Center, located at the domain oknobg.com, may collect about the User while using the website, programs and products.
At "Window to Bulgaria" OOD we keep all information about you to the highest standards and have established strict procedures and rules to protect your personal data.
How we protect your data
"Window to Bulgaria" Migration Center OOD has implemented reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the personal data we process, to ensure that unauthorised persons cannot access it, and to ensure its proper use in accordance with the law and for as long as the data is lawfully required.
Definitions
- Site administration — authorised staff managing the site on behalf of the organisation, who organise and/or carry out the processing of personal data and determine its purposes and scope.
- Personal data — any information relating to a directly or indirectly identified natural person.
- Processing of personal data — any action or set of actions performed with personal data, including collection, recording, organisation, storage, updating, use, transfer, anonymisation, blocking, deletion and destruction.
- Confidentiality of personal data — the mandatory requirement not to disclose data without the consent of the data subject or another lawful basis.
- Site user — a person who has access to the Site via the Internet and uses it.
- Cookies — a small piece of data sent by a web server and stored on the user's computer, which the browser sends back to the server on every subsequent request.
- IP address — a unique network address of a node in a computer network built on the IP protocol.
General provisions
- By using the site, the User agrees to this Privacy Policy and the terms of processing of their personal data. If the User disagrees with these terms, they must stop using the site.
- This Privacy Policy applies only to the "Window to Bulgaria" site. The site does not control and is not responsible for third-party sites the User may reach via links available on the site.
- The site administration does not verify the accuracy of personal data provided by the User.
Subject of the privacy policy
This Policy establishes the site administration's obligations regarding non-disclosure and protection of the confidentiality of personal data that the User provides at the administration's request. The personal data we collect depends on the services requested and may include: the User's full name; contact phone number; email address; residential address. We also protect data that is automatically transmitted while browsing pages of our site.
Purposes of collecting personal information
The site administration may use the User's personal data to:
- identify a User registered on the site in order to place an order and/or conclude a remote service agreement;
- provide the User with access to personalised resources of the Site;
- maintain feedback with the User, including notifications, enquiries and processing of requests;

Data retention period
"Window to Bulgaria" OOD will retain your personal data on paper and/or electronically for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. At the end of the retention period, your personal data will be deleted or archived. Retention periods: documents and declarations — 3 years; intermediary service agreements and invoices — under the Accounting Act — 10 years.
How we disclose your information
We may disclose your personal information if we are required to: (a) respond to duly authorised requests for information from law enforcement authorities and comply with national security and other law-enforcement requirements; (b) comply with the law, a court order or subpoena; (c) investigate and help prevent security threats, fraud or other criminal or malicious activity; or (d) protect the rights or personal safety of our employees and third parties in accordance with applicable law.
Additional terms
The site administration reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy without the User's consent. The new version takes effect from the moment it is published on the Site, unless otherwise provided. If we make material changes to our Privacy Policy, we will notify you through other means as well — for example, by email or by posting notices on our website and/or social media pages before the changes take effect. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party applications, products, services, websites or social-media features accessed via links provided through our website for your convenience; we recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any such site separately.
